As you can probably tell, I love to run and my goal as a Running Fit coach is to pass on my knowledge and experience to create a sense of independence for those who come to class. The great thing about running as part of your overall health and well-being program is it’s so versatile: you can run just about anywhere, anytime, by yourself or with a group. I like showing members who attend Running Fit how you can easily adapt any session we do to match time, location and fitness level.
Running is just a component of my overall training. It’s important to have resistance sessions each week to maintain lean muscle mass and time to maintain flexibility. My fastest running days are well behind me, so my focus now is to maintain my body for the long haul. Now, I listen to my body and what it needs. It’s not just about the miles. Effective recovery is as important as other components of your training week.

After having children, I lost my way and stopped exercising. I became overweight, as many women do. Having to lose 30kgs myself and live that journey to find myself again inspired my passion to become a personal trainer and help other people achieve the same goals, become who they want to be, and live longer healthier lives. I have many years’ experience training in martial arts, group fitness classes (including boot camps, circuit training, indoor ride classes, boxing, kimax (exercise kickboxing) and gym workouts.
My favourite saying is: "If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you!" We are all capable of achieving our goals if we believe in ourselves and work hard, and Muscle Garden is a place where you can feel comfortable to do just that. We are all one big family here!

My passion for customer service started when I was 12 years in my first job. Also, fitness has always been a big part of my life. I played netball, touch football and did a lot of running growing up. Now on weekends I enjoy kayaking with the family in the beautiful rivers and dams surrounding Mackay.
Muscle Garden is not just a workplace, it’s a home where you’re made to feel safe and welcomed, surrounded by people who care about you being your best self. Everyone knows you can join any gym to work out and get fit. Yet if you want to work out, get fit and have endless support from staff as well as other members, then you don’t need to look any further than Muscle Garden Health & Fitness Centre. As I like to quote: “It’s up to you how far you’ll go, you will never know if you don’t try.”
